David Maus Volkswagen Employees Send Supplies to Military

As a grass-roots community effort by the David Maus Volkswagen employees, everyone at the dealership collected requested items for military personnel throughout the month of September. Over 15 boxes of canned food, plastic utensils, gum, beef jerky, sunflower seeds, and more were shipped via Priority Mail to five different groups in the Army, Air Force and Marines. Two of the groups are constantly in the field requesting any type of food small enough to pack in their pockets while on duty.

The five groups were found through a website called in which soldiers of all military divisions write in for themselves or their group in request for supplies but most of all a chance to talk with someone from Home. Within each box was a greeting card written with words of support and encouragement, signed by the employees.
